San Francisco Giants announcer wins the Ford C. Frick Award

Barry Bonds may not be allowed into the baseball Hall of Fame anytime soon but the man who called historic home run chase is.

Veteran Giants' broadcaster Jon Miller punched his ticket to Cooperstown when National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum selected him as the 2010 recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award. The award is presented annually for major contributions to baseball broadcasting.

In addition to doing his hometown Giants' broadcasts, Miller has been the colorful voice  of ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball for the past 20 years. Before that he worked as a broadcaster for the A's and the Baltimore Orioles.

Miller will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in July.
