Welcome to the NBC Bay Area live blog of Giants and Phillies Game 3 of the National League Championship Series at AT&T Park.

Giants starter Matt Cain makes his second ever appearance in the postseason. Cain will be working on 10 days’ rest since he pitched Game 2 of the division series against Atlanta on Oct. 8, the longest layoff of the right-hander’s career.

On the other side, Phillies starter Cole Hamels, the 2008 World Series MVP, follows Philadelphia’s two Roys— Halladay and Oswalt—in the rotation.

Join the conversation as the Giants face off with the Phillies at China Basin.
