Patrick Marleau scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner in overtime, and San Jose beat the Phoenix Coyotes 5-4 to win in the Sharks' debut of Dany Heatley on Saturday night.

Heatley, who was acquired in a trade from Ottawa on Sept. 12 in a multiplayer deal that sent wingers Milan Michalek and Jonathan Cheechoo to the Senators, started for San Jose and played sparingly in each period but did not score.

Devin Setoguchi, Ryane Clowe and Jamie McGinn all scored for San Jose, which led 3-0 in the second period before Phoenix rallied with three goals in the third period to take a 4-3 lead.

Stefan Meyer had a goal and an assist, while Kyle Turris, Justin Bernhardt and Zbynek Michalek also scored for the Coyotes, who lost for the fourth straight time this preseason.
