NaVorro Bowman Meets 49ers Fans in Burlingame

Hundreds of San Francisco 49ers fans lined up outside Lefty's Sports Collectibles in Burlingame Tuesday for a chance to meet the team's All-Pro linebacker NaVorro Bowman.

Dan Arellano, 75, said he jumped at the chance to have Bowman sign his jacket because it was No. 53 who landed the winning touchdown at the final regular season game at Candlestick Park -- a play Bowman isn't gloating about.

"We needed a play -- our back was up against the wall," Bowman said. "That play landed in my hands (and) I was able to make it."

49ers fever is hitting the Bay Area. Tickets for a possible Jan. 19 playoff game at Candlestick are on sale at Stubhub, starting at $455 and up to $11,000.

"Every game is exciting and worth every penny," said Orlando Novicio.

In order for Candlestick to host a playoff game the 49ers will have to defeat the Carolina Panthers Sunday morning and Seattle Seahawks will have to lose to the New Orleans Saints.

The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department said the stadium is ready if the 49ers deliver.

"I'd be excited to play there again," Bowman said. "I'm sure the fans would be also."
