The cover of this weekend's New York Times magazine had a scruffy-looking guy wearing a San Francisco Giants baseball cap. His name is Tim Linecum.

Helping your team win the World Series gets you that kind of extra attention.

Timmy spent the day with NYT writer Jonathan Mahler tooling around Seattle in Lincecum's silver Mercedes.

Beyond baseball, Lincecum's hair got a lot of attention. The photo shoot came with a Redkin stylist named Dennis Lanni.

Lincecum has a lot of hair. Even more than when we last saw him at the parade down Market Street. He told the writer that he hasn't cut it yet and doesn't plan to unless so ordered by skipper Bruce Bochy.

The Giants are having a great spring training by the way. Opening Day down in LA is March 31. The Giants home opener is April 8. Photographer+Richard+Burbidge+captured+this+image+of+Tim+Lincecum+for+the+New+York+Times+Magazine.+
