No Need To Panic Shark Fans

Niittymaki roughed up in debut

Easy Sharks fans, there is no need to worry.

In their first game of the preseason, the San Jose Sharks lost big to their SoCal rivals in Anahiem.  The Ducks roughed up new Sharks netminder Antero Niittymaki for 4 goals on only 12 shots.  Succeeding was Alex Stalock in the 3rd who let by 1 goal on 6 shots.

The Sharks tried to make a game out of it in the 3rd with Torrey Mitchell and Taylor Doherty notching goals just over 3 minutes apart.  However the Ducks stars shined brighter with the likes of Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf, and Jason Blake all scoring.

The Sharks firepower was limited yesterday with Patrick Marleau, Dany Heatly, Joe Pavelski, and Dan Boyle all sitting out.  You can plan on seeing the top stars play this Friday, along with San Jose's other new goalie, Antti Niemi.

Face-off at the HP Pavillion is 7:30 p.m. sharp.
