Oakland Raiders lineman Robert Gallery picked a good time to miss six weeks with a broken leg. In his time off, he got to witness the birth of his new baby, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Gallery and his wife Becca celebrated the birth of their first baby on Monday.

More good news in that guy's universe, as he seems likely to play again for the Raiders in their upcoming contest against the Chiefs next Sunday. The Chiefs are the same team Gallery broke his leg against in week two, so he'll be able to pretty much pick up right where he left off.

"You want to be out there with everybody and, hopefully, we can get things going," Gallery told the Chronicle, right before the Raiders' bye week break. "I've got another half a season to do what I want to do."

Robert Gallery, you won't always get to do what you want to do now that you have that screaming little new nipper in the household.
