The Raiders are making a run at Larry Johnson.

Monte Poole has a funny column in the Oakland Tribune in which he formulates the Bay Area's all-time worst NFL free agent signing "Hall of Shame."

He maybe should have waited a few days. The Oakland Raiders just might add another one to that list. ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that the Raiders are going to host ex-Chiefs running back Larry Johnson for a free agent visit this weekend.

Oakland fans, if the Raiders cut Justin Fargas just for this, then it's time start putting up more angry protest billboards.

Larry Johnson was an elite NFL running back as recently as 2006, and a mediocre running back as recently as 2008. Since then, he has zero touchdowns, 46 net yards, two separate incidents in which he's pled guilty to assaulting women, three separate public uses of a homophobic slur, and one Twitter incident where he told a paying NFL fan "Sorry ur a cornball n ur mom birthed u broke."

How underwhelming is Larry Johnson right now, at this point in his career? This very Larry went up againt the Raiders in the Bengals' 20-17 loss here in November. Johnson had two carries for five yards. And the Raiders's run defense was ranked 29th in the NFL.

Right now, I'm not sure that Larry the Cable Guy isn't a better NFL running back than Larry Johnson.

But the Raiders' Cable guy may end with Larry Johnson on his roster.
