Raiders Show Interest in Cal Running Back

If pundits had a track record of predicting what the Oakland Raiders might do then there may be some truth to a local guy staying in the Bay Area this draft.

CBS Sports is reporting that California running back Shane Vereen spoke with the Raiders' running back's coach Kelly Skipper.

The Raiders could be in the market for a new running back if free agent Michael Bush leaves the team. Bush recently was charged with driving under the influence.

Vereen's skills were on display Wednesday for NFL scouts during Cal's pro day. The junior running back led the Golden Bears in rushing last season with 1,167 yards and 13 touchdowns.
