Stanley Cup: Sharks Invite Fans to Game 1 Watch Party at SAP Center

SAP Center will open its doors Monday for a Game 1 watch party as the San Jose Sharks take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup Final opening game at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.

The game is being televised on NBC Bay Area starting at 5 p.m., and fans are invited to the Shark Tank to watch it on the center-hung video board, the team said in a news release Sunday. Tickets are $5, with net proceeds going to the Sharks Foundation. Parking in the main arena lot will be $5 on a first-come, first served basis.

The team is calling it a scaled-down version of a Sharks home game, with SJ Sharkie on hand to provide entertainment and full concession stand service available. The first 8,000 fans in attendance will receive a rally towel.

The Sharks are playing in their first Stanley Cup Final in club history. They will return home for Games 3 and 4, as well as Game 6, if necessary.
