The Super Bowl 50 Host Committee is asking for more than 5,000 volunteers to help out during the week leading up to the big game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
As of Tuesday, the official volunteer application is available on the Host Committee’s website at www.sfbaysuperbowl.com/volunteer.
Volunteers will be stationed in both San Francisco and in the South Bay at hotels, airports, major tourist destinations, and ferry and train terminals.
According to a press release, the NFL won’t require volunteers on game day, Feb. 7, 2016.
“We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers to help us give a warm welcome to more than one million visitors during Super Bowl Week,” said Host Committee Keith Bruce CEO. “Volunteers are key ambassadors for both Super Bowl 50 and the Bay Area, so we are looking to build a volunteer corps that showcases the tremendous diversity, spirit and character of our communities.”
Volunteers will receive a free Super Bowl 50 volunteer uniform, but will not receive tickets for Super Bowl 50.
Volunteers must be available to work at least three shifts. Most of the opportunities are for individuals who are at least 18, but the Host Committee says there will be some roles available for teenagers.
