Randy Johnson has been among the biggest reasons for the Giants success this season.  His leadership in the clubhouse and his 7-5 record has helped resurrect the team.

However, the Giants good fortune might be ending.  The 45 year-old pitcher was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Monday.  Johnson strained his left shoulder during Sunday's loss to the Astros in San Francisco.  Johnson will likely miss his next two starts.

Jonathan Sanchez will replace Johnson in the rotation.

The Giants also promoted infielder Kevin Frandsen from Triple-A Fresno.
