Veteran Leads Raider Rookies Into Camp

When the team bus rolled into the Oakland Raiders' training camp, there was a bit of a surprise when the first person walked off.

There was five-time Pro Bowler Richard Seymour coming off a bus Tuesday filled almost entirely with rookies and other inexperienced players ready to report to his first training camp with the Raiders.

Seymour missed the entire offseason program because he had not signed his franchise tag tender. But he says it was important to be at camp on time because this is where the foundation for the season begins.

Seymour joined the Raiders two days before the season opener last year in a trade from New England.
