Villanova Wildcats Celebrate NCAA Championship Victory With Parade in Downtown Philly

The Villanova Wildcats and thousands of fans will take to the streets in Center City today for a parade to celebrate the team's NCAA Championship victory.

The Villanova Wildcats and their loyal fans flooded the streets of Center City Philadelphia Friday afternoon to celebrate the men's basketball team's NCAA Championship victory.

The parade will kicked off at 1 p.m. at 20th and Market streets and made its way five blocks through Center City, to Dilworth Park at City Hall.

‘Nova Nation is ready to go on the streets of Center City Philadelphia. NBC10’s Lauren Mayk is at City Hall, where the parade will end, with some jubilant fans less than two hours before the parade steps off.

The parade rolled along under sunny skies and breezy air, with temperatures hitting the mid-50s.

The Villanova Wildcats and their fans are getting ready to celebrate their victory with a parade through Center City. The parade will cover about five blocks, beginning at 20th and Market streets and ending at Dilworth Park.

The Wildcats conquered the North Carolina Tar Heels on Monday night in a nail-biter of a game, sinking a buzzer-beater in the last seconds to win 77-74. The win was 'Nova's first NCAA Championship victory since 1985.
