49ers Claim LB Off Waivers From Packers, Place Bellore on IR

The San Francisco 49ers on Monday announced they have placed LB Nick Bellore on the Injured Reserve List and claimed LB Carl Bradford off waivers from the Green Bay Packers.

Bradford (6-1, 248) was originally drafted by the Packers in the 4th round (121st overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Arizona State University. After being inactive for all 16 regular season games and both postseason contests as a rookie in 2014, he spent the entire 2015 season on Green Bay’s practice squad. Bradford appeared in the first four games of his career this season and registered two tackles on defense and one tackle on special teams.

In three years at Arizona State (2011-13), Bradford appeared in 40 games (28 starts) and registered 154 tackles, 21.5 sacks, two interceptions, 10 passes defensed, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He earned All-Pac-12 honors as a sophomore (Honorable Mention) and junior (First-Team).

Bellore (6-1, 250) appeared in each of the team’s 14 games this season, where he started a career-high 10 games and registered 82 tackles, four passes defensed and the first sack, interception and fumble recovery of his career.
