49ers Sign Former Texans, Patriots Receiver

The 49ers filled their one vacancy on the 53-man roster on Tuesday afternoon.

San Francisco signed wide receiver Keshawn Martin, the team announced.

Martin appeared in nine games with the Patriots last year. He recorded 24 catches for 269 yards and two touchdowns.

The 26-year old entered the league as a fourth-round pick of the Texans in 2012.

Over three years in Houston, he appeared in all 48 games (two starts), registering 38 receptions, 416 yards and three touchdowns.

New England cut Martin after its final preseason game.
