Injury Report: Hyde, Smith Questionable; Lynch Out for 49ers

Running back Carlos Hyde is again listed as questionable for the 49ers’ game Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

But this week’s questionable appears a lot less questionable than a week ago.

Hyde said on Wednesday that his injured shoulder is feeling a lot better and it held up well after he hit it into a blocking sled at practice. Hyde sustained the injury to his right AC joint in the 49ers’ Oct. 16 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

“It’s definitely less painful,” Hyde said. “I hit it on the sled. I was fine. That was the only type contact I’ve had on it so far, and I was fine.

“I hit the pad hard, like I was running somebody over. I need to know, in case I do play and I do have to use my shoulder to get some yards, run a guy over. I have to know how it’s going to hold up. . . I was fine.”

Hyde is averaging 3.9 yards a carry, as he leads the 49ers in rushing with 429 yards and six touchdowns.

Outside linebacker Aaron Lynch (ankle) and cornerback Rashard Robinson (knee) are not expected to play on Sunday. Lynch is listed as out, while Robinson is questionable. Wide receiver Torrey Smith (back) is listed as questionable.

The 49ers had a walk-through practice on Friday, but if they had a full practice, Hyde, Robinson and Smith would have each been limited, the club announced.

The Cardinals will be without one of their top defenders, as defensive back Tyrann Mathieu has been ruled out with a shoulder injury.
