Bryce Harper Exits Game Vs Giants With Knee Injury After Slipping on Wet Base

The Giants' game vs the Nationals in Washington D.C. was postponed Friday night due to weather. Saturday's game was delayed three hours with more inclement weather and the rain conditions came into play right away.

In the bottom of the first inning, Bryce Harper hit a ground ball to first base and sprinted to the bag, racing past starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija. But, when Harper hit first base, his left leg slipped on the bag, causing his knee to shoot straight back.

Harper flew in the air and appeared to be in agony as he hit the ground while clutching onto the front of his knee.

The 24-year-old is batting .326 with a .419 on-base percentage and .614 slugging percentage to go with his 29 home runs in 106 games played.

More to come...
