Add Kings center DeMarcus Cousins to the list of NBA players and coaches that don't have a problem with Kevin Durant's decision to join the Warriors.
Following Team USA practice on Monday in Las Vegas, the two-time All-Star was asked a variety of questions and Durant was brought up.
"It was a personal decision for him. He's his own man, so I respect him for it," Cousins said in a video published by ABC10. "I think the West just got a lot harder, but I have no hard feelings about the decision he made. It was the best decision for him, and I'm all about that."
During the Feb. 29 game between the Thunder and Kings in Sacramento, Durant and Cousins were in the middle of a shoving match between the two teams. Kings forward Quincy Acy shoved Thunder center Steven Adams while going for a rebound on a free throw attempt in the first quarter. Durant had some words for Acy, and when Cousins attempted to step between them, Durant push Cousins' arm away.
Cousins was asked what he expects when the Kings face the Warriors during the upcoming 2016-17 season.
"I look forward to playing them. It's going to be a tough game," Cousins said.
Durant announced on the Fourth of July that he was leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder, the only organization he had ever known, for the Warriors. He was introduced by the team three days later in a press conference at their practice facility in Oakland.
