Former King Darrick Martin to Coach Reno Bighorns

SACRAMENTO - The Reno Bighorns have a new front man.

Former Sacramento Kings guard Darrick Martin has finalizing a deal to become the new head coach, replacing David Arseneault Jr., who was told he wouldn't return for a third season earlier this month.

Martin, 45, spent 13 seasons in the NBA, including the 1999-2000 and 2000-01 seasons as a member of the Kings. He played for six different team's during his career, including two stops with both the Clippers and the Timberwolves.

The former point guard spent last season working as a radio analyst for his alma mater, UCLA. Before that, he worked under coach Steve Lavin as an assistant at St. John's and he also spent time with the Timberwolves as an assistant director of player development.
