Kings Blown Out by Hawks in Summer League Tournament

Despite nine points from Skal Labissiere off the bench, the Kings lost to the Hawks 81-61 in the NBA Summer League tournament Wednesday afternoon at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.

The loss drops Sacramento to 0-4 and eliminates them from contention for the summer league title. They are now relegated to the consolation bracket. The Kings will play one more game in Las Vegas, on Friday against the loser of the T'Wolves and Spurs, scheduled to tip at 3pm PDT Wednesday.

First-round picks Georgios Papagiannis and Malachi Richardson started and scored six and three points, respectively. Papagiannis grabbed five rebounds in 19 minutes.

Labissiere added five rebounds in 23 minutes of action.

Willie Cauley-Stein, the Kings first-round pick from 2015, played 17 minutes and scored four points while collecting three rebounds.

Isaiah Cousins, who missed the first three games of the summer league with a groin injury, was held to 1-of-8 shooting for two points in his debut. He started and played 22 minutes.

Duje Dukan led Kings' starters with 11 points, all of which came in the first quarter.

The Kings' top scorer was guard Retin Obasohan, a four-year guard from Alabama, who finished 12 points off the bench.

The Hawks were led by No. 12 overall pick Taurean Prince, who finished with a game-high 21 points.
