Labissiere Leads Kings in Summer League Loss to Pelicans

BOX SCORE

The Kings dropped their third straight summer league game Monday, losing to the Pelicans, 70-66, in Las Vegas.

Sacramento's third first-round pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, Skal Labissiere, led the Kings with 16 points. Labissiere shot 6-of-14 from the field and grabbed six rebounds in the loss.

The Kings led 34-27 at the half, but Pelicans rookie Buddy Hield was too much for Sacramento in the second half. In the third quarter alone, Hield outscored the entire Kings team, 17-11.

New Orleans' first-round draft pick, Hield, scored a game-high 23 points.

David Stockton finished second on the Kings with 12 points, followed by Willie Cauley-Stein and Malachi Richardson scoring seven apiece. Sacramento's top pick in the draft, Georgios Papagiannis, only scored one point in over 19 minutes of work.

The Kings play next in the Las Vegas Summer League Tournament, beginning Wednesday, July 13.
