Report: Raiders Flying in Former Practice Squad Quarterback

The Raiders are reportedly on the verge of adding a quarterback.

Oakland is flying in free agent QB Garrett Gilbert and he's expected to join the practice squad, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Gilbert spent the 2015 season on the Raiders' practice squad.

The Silver and Black waived him in May 2016.

The Rams selected Gilbert in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

St. Louis cut him from the practice squad in late October 2014, and he signed with the Patriots nearly two months later. Gilbert went on to win a Super Bowl ring with New England.
