Ottawa Senators forward Mike Hoffman has been suspended two games for cross-checking San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture, the NHL announced Friday.
Couture was cross-checked in the back of the head in front of netminder Martin Jones, and had to exit the game.
Hoffman will miss games against the New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders. He returns for a road game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday, Dec. 20.
