Sharks' Three-game Win Streak Snapped, Shut Out by Hurricanes

BOX SCORE

Riding a three-game win streak on a six-game road trip, the Sharks' offense went silent with a 1-0 loss to the Hurricanes on Tuesday at PNC Arena.

Backup goaltender Aaron Dell stepped in for Martin Jones and did an admirable job. Dell saved 32 shots on goal, but that wasn't enough with the Sharks' offense unable to hit the back of the net.

With 10:48 left in the third period, Joakim Nordstrom put the first points on the board with the only goal needed for the Hurricanes.

The Sharks fell to 9-7-0 after Tuesday's loss.
