Kevin Durant Shares How Steph Curry Gave Him a Boost Vs T'Wolves

Over the first 21 games of the season, Kevin Durant shot nearly 57 percent from the field and 42 percent from distance.

Through the first four games of the Warriors' five-game road trip, Durant is shooting 38 percent from the field and 33 percent from beyond the arc.

"It's a part of the season, man," Durant told reporters on Sunday night. "I definitely didn't want it to happen. Definitely would love to make more shots than I've been making on this road trip.

"It's an up and down season. I think it's about how you bounce back and how you keep fighting through it all. I think tonight is a huge reminder for myself that at some point, they're gonna start to fall. I missed layups, I missed in and out jumpshots, 3s I normally hit.

"But everything is not gonna go in for me every game no matter what. That's just how a season is ... I was able to hit a couple shots in the fourth quarter, help us get a lead and contribute to the win -- so that's the most important thing."

After making just 3-of-16 shots in the first three quarters against the Timberwolves, Durant went 3-for-5 in the final frame.

He also registered three assists and two rebounds.

"Just keep shooting. Keep shooting," Durant said. "Steph (Curry) told me to stop looking up at the scoreboard (laugh) and when I made those three shots in the fourth, he told me I'm 3-for-3, so I just try to look at it that way.

"But I just try to to rebound, get my teammates going, get some assists ... so that gave me a boost. My energy was low because I was feeling sorry for myself, but I can't do that. I'm ten years in the league and I gotta wake up sometimes when I start getting down on myself.

"It's a part of the game. I'm gonna miss shots, I'm gonna miss layups, I'm gonna make mistakes. Just keep fighting and my teammates encouraged me all night, and it was much needed."
