Report: Kevin Durant Plans to Sign ‘later in the Month'

Don't expect Kevin Durant to re-sign soon after free agency opens.

The 2017 NBA Finals MVP plans to wait until the Warriors complete other moves first, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Free agency officially commences at 9:01pm PT on Friday, June 30 (which is tecnically July 1 on the east coast)

According to ESPN, Durant plans to re-sign "later in the month."

If you haven't heard already -- Durant will reportedly opt out, become a free agent and then re-sign with the Warriors for less than the max.

Why? Because he is willing to do what it takes to give Golden State the necessary resources to re-sign players such as Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.

Iguodala is reportedly going to be a hot commodity on the open market.

But as Monte Poole wrote on Tuesday: "It won't be easy to pry Iguodala away."
