Slick Shooting Durant Takes Care of Ball in Warriors' Win Over Lakers

LAS VEGAS – In the first half of his fifth preseason game as a Warrior, on the grand stage that is Saturday night in Vegas, Kevin Durant seized the moment and squeezed it until it hollered.

Only in the second half did he let go.

Durant’s shot was falling, his defense was stellar and his demeanor downright stoic as he and his teammates dispatched the Lakers at T-Mobile Arena.

Durant was 4-of-5 from the field in the first quarter and 3-of-4 in the second. Moreover, he rebounded well, and swatted a couple shots and nabbed a steal.

And for the second consecutive night, he did not commit a turnover.

Durant’s line: 17 points (7-of-11, 3-of-5 from deep), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal. He played 22 minutes and finished plus-16
