Talk of the name of Apple's newest ultimate geek toy can now be shifted back to the sophomoric jokes that make the iPad sound like a sanitary product.
There had been some concern that the company overlooked a major issue in naming the iPad -- Fujitsu already owned the rights to the title. The Tokyo-based company filed for rights to the name in 2003.
Now, Apple officially owns the trademark. The U.S. Records at the Patent and Trademark office show the trademark was assigned to Apple Inc. on March 17.
Now, if they could just get over that Flash thing.
