Who does a company known for innovative design turn to when it needs to design a new state-of-the-art campus?
That is of course if you are comfortable relying on a translation of an article by famed Apple rival Google.
Apple purchased the property, adjacent to another 50 acres it already owns, from HP in 2006. The report says that Apple is looking to create a campus in true Apple style, with cutting edge technology and innovation.
The Cupertino-based company also reportedly wants to model the campus off of the car-free city, Masdar, in Abu Dhabi, which is a carbon-neutral project that Foster is helping orchestrate.
But being green has not always been easy for any tech company and copying other people's leads is not something Steve Jobs is known to do.
Maybe that's part of the reason why Apple hasn't announced any formal plans for the property. Or maybe the whole thing is just a rumor -- like the iPhone or the iPad once was.
