It turns out Intel doesn't love its rock stars as much as the company claims.

The Santa Clara, Calif.-based company recently launched an ad campaign featuring women gagging and men dropping staring in awe as an uninspiring techie walks into the room. The chip maker then pronounces that its rock stars are not like ours.

The company recently asked funnyman Conan O'Brien to interview Ajay Bhatt, one of the people featured in Intel's series. But O'Brien quickly found out the man Intel was dangling as the inventor of the USB port was nothing more than an actor who was playing the real Ajay Bhatt.

It seems  Intel doesn't love their rock stars enough to actually put them a commercial. To make things right, Conan went out and actually interviewed the real Ajay Bhatt and recreated the commercial with him. Enjoy. And thanks to Laughing Squid for the tip.
