Could the Next iPod Shuffle be a Tiny Touchscreen?

Apple's been moving its portable devices over to touchscreens, from the iPhone to the iPod Touch to the iPad. But what of the lowly iPod Shuffle? Could Apple's most diminutive music player follow suit?

It could, according to this rumored leak of an upcoming Apple device. The tiny touchscreen is about the size one would expect the next Shuffle to be, and it certainly fits in with Apple's recent design choices. But is it too small to function as a touchscreen? I mean, when your finger pretty much covers the whole screen, it might just not be practical.

Time will tell! Apple is likely to introduce its next line of iPods in September.
