Facebook Shares Greater Access to 'Places'

Facebook has satisfied the old maxim of 'readin', writin' and 'rithmetic.'

Today they released the Read as well as the Write developer components to their Facebook Places app, according to techcrunch.com. The 'rithmetic? The tipping-point numbers they'll get from such a share with the development crowd.

Previously most people only had access to the Read portion, limiting the customization they could do.

The Write functionality was limited to big partners. It allows for broad syndication of a user's updates. So eventually no matter where you are and what you're using, you'll be feeding Facebook Places.

And feeding the borg. Or is that Twitter?
