Google Buses to Seize Parking Spots

Tech may take over some parking spots.

San Francisco's plan to manage the tech shuttles that ferry workers to Google, Facebook, Apple and other campuses in the South Bay may require some parking spaces be taken away.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Muni stops may need to be "extended" in order to fit in the tech buses.

That may require three -- yes, three -- spots be taken over full-time, with another 15 spaces held for shuttles-only during commute times of 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Some neighborhood groups are already up in arms over the plan, which is to be discussed on Friday.
