NASA Partners With Google for First-of-its-Kind Quantum Computer

NASA’s new machine is super cool.

In fact, it’s two factors colder than interstellar space.

That’s cold.

As for how well it works, the new Quantum computer – a joint venture between the space agency and Google – is still a bit of a mystery.

The goal is to fire things up to the point where the new machine can calculate things like climate changes and air traffic control patterns much faster than current supercomputers.

That will take awhile, though.

Quantum computing is still new, but NASA is full of optimists.

"If quantum computing were to work," NASA’s Rupak Biswas said. "It's a truly disruptuive technology .. and it could change how we do everything."

There’s money already invested, and time about to be invested, all to see how well Quantum computing will work.

Stay tuned.
