Netflix's Streaming Power Goes Downstream
A DVD was the only way Netflix subscribers were watching movies Thursday.
Even the mighty Netflix has an off day. Just ask one of the Redwood City-based movie rental company's subscribers.
Thursday started off like any normal day for the Blockbuster killer. Netflix opened the day with its stock price hitting an all-time high but the smile was quickly scratched off the company's red envelope.
Netflix's website went down, preventing most of its 17 million subscribers from being able to stream video Thursday. So much for going entirely to a streaming model.
At least Netflix is diligently working to fix the problem
