Can You Hear Me Now?

AT&T's network is back to normal after an outage in San Francisco on Friday. The cell phone provider says a hardware issue caused a problem for a few hours. It wouldn't be all that newsworthy except AT&T has been under fire lately for slow networks and dropped calls.

That said, there are reports Verizon is having its own network problems this morning, in the Midwest and here in California.  I've sent an email to the local Verizon press rep, she's not awake as of this writing.

The Google Nexus phone has been spotted in the wild. Several Google employees are carrying it around.  Officially it's a test bed for Google mobile apps, but the rumor is that Google will actually sell it, unlocked and usable on any network.

Have you seen a house running Christmas lights with a Lightorama controller?  They're cool this year, they'll probably still be cool next year and two years from now this will have all jumped the shark.

But while they're still cool, check out this link from Make Magazine:  a guy who's synched up his Guitar Hero game to his house Christmas lights.
