Use Your iPhone to Wrangle Your Wandering Brain

A new iPhone app promises to help you concentrate.

A new iPhone app and headset promise to help you focus up with a little practice. Yes, for once you will actually be focused rather than distracted by your phone.

The XWave Visualizer app, when used in conjunction with the XWave headset, tracks "the faintest electrical impulses transmitted through ones skull to the surface of the forehead and converts these analog signals into digital signals." This lets you track how hard you're concentrating, apparently.

The company putting it out, Neurosky, claims that this can be used as a treatment for ADHD. Maybe! But I feel like anyone with ADHD would get bored with fiddling with this pretty quickly and get distracted by Angry Birds.
