iPhone Comes to Verizon: Wall Street Journal

Rumored for years, never spotted in the wild, the iPhone migration to Verizon will be made official on Tuesday, according to the Wall Street Journal.

After all these years of dropped calls and well-documented user complaints, many will revel in the new-found iPhone competiton between AT&T and Verizon -- hoping it spurs better service. AT&T has had exclusive rights to the phone since 2007.

According to the WSJ: "The event will be headlined by Lowell McAdam, president and chief operating officer of Verizon Communications Inc., which jointly owns Verizon Wireless with Vodafone Group PLC."

Apple declined to comment.
