Two men fleeing from a van stuffed with pot plants after being pursued by police in Sutter County didn’t get too far.
A Sutter County Sheriff’s Department officer was able to take both men into custody, but a third man who was also in the van with them was able to escape, according to Sacramento’s KCRA TV station.
Lt. Dan Buttler said he stopped the van early Monday morning for running a stop sign. All three men inside the van ran into a nearby rice field. One man was arrested, and the second was also caught a little later. Neither were armed.
The search is still on for the third man.
