Congratulations San Francisco. You have long been a beacon of individuality, loved for your fine dining and hated for your welcoming embrace of everything different. Now the world wants to recognize you for one of your more intimate moments.

Profile of the Best Restroom Award

One of the city's most popular places to take a load off is up for a national award. The art deco design of the bathroom at Macy's Union Square is finalist for America's Best Bathroom. Now not only can you eat in style in San Francsico but you can potentially relieve yourself in award winning digs. But sorry boys, this sixth floor masterpiece is only for ladies.

The contemporary bathroom offers the finest Italian marble floors, chandeliers with carved ceiling medallions, full-length stainless steel stall doors and always filled soap dispensers. Not to mention its convenient location.

The Macy's bathroom is competing against nine entries from across the country. The winner will be determined by an Internet vote running through July 31. Remember to vote early and often.
