It's Not a UFO, It's an LED Model Plane!

Don't blame South Bay residents if they think they've been seeing UFO's lately.

Technically they have been seeing unidentified flying objects -- really pretty ones.

It's a bird. It's a plane. No really it's plane. Its creator is our own NBC Bay Area news photographer, Walt Colby.

He built the radio-controlled plane and designed the custom lighting arrangement, but no one was more surprised when his invention became a YouTube hit.

Fans last month voted it one of the most science and technology videos.

Clearly, the plane gives new meaning to the term "light aircraft."
