A 70-year-old man has been arrested for robbing a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., bank, the FBI said Wednesday.

George M. Hernandez was arrested last week in the Feb. 5 robbery of the SunTrust Bank at 3530 N. Ocean Boulevard, the FBI said.

Hernandez was arrested on March 3 in Hollywood by the FBI's South Florida Violent Crime Task Force, but due to health reasons, didn't appear in federal court until Tuesday, the FBI said.

According to the FBI, the suspect entered the bank around 9:30 a.m. and demanded cash. No customers were in the bank at the time and no one was injured.

The suspect fled the area in a taxi, the FBI said. The FBI is still investigating the incident.
