Man Sues Woman After House Cat Attacks

An Illinois man is reportedly suing a woman for $100,000 after her cat allegedly attacked him while he was cat-sitting.

The lawsuit said that William Baxter, of Homer Glen, was feeding Christine Boback’s cat two years ago when the cat “viciously attacked, bit and clawed” him, causing serious injuries to Baxter’s ring finger and clawing his left arm, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Baxter reportedly filed suit against Bobak on March 22 in Will County Circuit Court, seeking $50,000 for each injury.

The suit alleges the incident was not the cat’s first attack and Boback should have known it was dangerous.

A Facebook profile for a Billy Baxter shows he is married to a Christine “Bobak” Baxter of Homer Glen, but it is unclear if they are the same two involved in the lawsuit.

A court appearance is scheduled for July 10, the Sun-Times reported.
