Norcal Woman Resorts To Pellet Gun To Combat Rats

"I don't want to live like this."

A Roseville neighborhood, outside Sacramento, is crawling with so many rats that one homeowner has dubbed it "Rodentville."

Denise Patricia, who moved into her house in July, told TV station KCRA that there are so many rodents infesting her neighborhood that she called county and city officials.

But what Patricia found out is that there are no government services who deal with rat problems for entire neighborhoods.

"It's so aggravating, I can't even tell you," she said. "I am saddened by it. We have a beautiful home and this is a beautiful neighborhood and it sickens me to think we need to deal with this every day."

To deal with the rat race, Patricia turned to her last violence -- a pellet gun -- which has been used to kill three rats so far.

"I can get them," Patricia said. "But this is what I am down to, and I don't want to live like this."

Besides using a pellet gun, Patricia has printed up fliers that she intends to pass out to neighbors.

Patricia said she hopes the neighborhood will ban together and get someone to notice their problem.
