San Jose Police are searching for a man who is accused of molesting children, recording it, and storing it on his computer.
In August 2008, the agency's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a cyber tip that Juan Edmundo Morales Jauregui, 38, had recorded the porn.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for a residence on the 1600 block of Tierra Buena Drive.
When they seized evidence and reviewed it, they discovered videos and images of child pornography.
Images included children as young as infants being sexually abused, detectives reported.
Jauregui also had images of himself molesting several children, officers said.
Three children have been identified, and at least two have disclosed multiple incidents of lewd and lascivious acts over a period of several years, according to police reports.
Investigators said they believe there may be additional unidentified victims.
On Jan. 23, officers attempted to arrest Jauregui and discovered he had fled. They have not been able to find him.
On Feb. 5, Jauregui's vehicle was found in the area of North First St. and Gish Rd. in San Jose.
There is an active felony warrant for Jauregui's arrest, officers said.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000.00 reward for information leading his arrest and conviction.
Anyone with information is urged to call Det. Kendra Nunes of the San Jose Police Department's Sexual Assault Investigation Unit at 408-277-4102.
