Thrill the World '08

Start practicing now, zombie lovers.

It's time once again, zombie lovers, to bust out those dancing shoes and undead makeup. Get ready for Thrill the World 2009.

Last year, a record-setting 4,179 people from 10 nations simultaneously danced the Thriller. This year, they're looking to break that number.

Practices around Southern California have already started and will continue for the next few weeks. Then, on Oct. 24, the greatest zombie dance in the history of zombie dances will commence.

Last year, the horde of undead dancers cut a rug at Hollywood & Highland. According to the group's Twitter page, this year's dance will be held at L.A. Live.

So far, practice sessions are being held in Long Beach, Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Hollywood, downtown, Highland Park, Pasadena and El Monte. A complete listing of sessions is available online. Basically, with so many sessions, there are no excuses not to get in on this.

So, before anyone starts stomping and grunting and clapping, be sure to make it to a few of these practice sessions. We'd hate to see any zombies flub some moves.
