2012 Olympics Viewing Guide: How to Watch

Where and when to watch the 2012 London Games

California is well represented at the London Olympics, and there are plenty of opportunities -- both on-air and online -- to watch local competitors take on the world's best.

TV Schedule: By Sport, By Day/Time | Online Listings

On Friday, NBC will begin its 272.5 hours of Olympic coverage with Primetime coverage of the Opening Ceremony from 7:30 p.m. to 12:00 am. The broadcast will feature the momentous torch-lighting ceremony to launch the Games.

NBC Daytime/Primtime Coverage

NBC daytime coverage will begin on most weekdays at 10 a.m. with coverage originating from London immediately following the TODAY show. Primetime coverage will span from 8 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Online Coverage

All sports and events will be provided on NBCOlympics.com through a mobile app and online. The website will provide information for viewers using ZIP codes and cable provider.

To access the live stream, viewers will need to log in using their personal cable account information. The stream will include a combination of simul-streams and host-broadcaster feeds of NBCU cable channels.Viewers can modify the key events and athletes to watch on the livestream.

NBC Sports Network

NBC Sports Network kicked off its 257.5 hours of original programming Wednesday with Team USA's opener vs. France in women's soccer. Home to the “team sport” coverage, the network will include all U.S. team coverage, such as handball and field hockey.

MSNBC

MSNBC will broadcast 155.5 hours of Olympic coverage including all 32 sports of the London program.

CNBC

CNBC will deliver 73 hours of boxing over the span of 16 days, starting July 28. On week days, the network will feature the sport from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Weekend viewing times and specific sports will be available online.

Bravo

Bravo will dedicate its Olympic coverage to tennis from July 28 to Aug. 3. It will televise 56 hours from the All England Club from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. on week days.

Specialty Channels

NBC will feature specialty stations set to broadcast soccer and basketball -- available to cable, satellite and Telco providers. Television listings for the sports are online.

The NBC Sports group will also provide a 3-D channel with 242 hours of Olympic coverage.

Telemundo

Telemundo will provide an historic moment in Olympic history. The station will offer the most extensive Spanish-language coverage featuring 173 hours of Olympic footage.
