Colin has been reporting on sports in the San Francisco Bay Area for more than a decade. He has covered nearly every major Bay Area sporting event including the Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 between the 49ers and Ravens, Tim Lincecum's no-hitter in June of 2014 against the San Diego Padres, and the 2014 National League Championship Series, including Travis Ishikawa's series-clinching home run that propelled the Giants into the 2104 World Series. Most recently he traveled with the Golden State Warriors, covering their historic 2014-2015 championship season that brought the Larry O’Brien trophy back to the Bay Area for the first time in 40 years.

Colin joined NBC Bay Area from ABC in San Francisco, where he worked as a sports anchor, reporter and producer. Prior to that he worked at CBS in San Francisco as sports producer and anchor. He began his career in Portland Oregon at KATU as a news writer and also went on to work at stations in Eureka, CA, Charlotte, NC and Seattle, WA before coming to the Bay Area.

He has been recognized for sports reporting with an RTNDA award for his report "Posterize," about local still photographers who capture the perfect moment at sporting events. He also won an Emmy award for his report "Sergeant Ken" profiling a former army sergeant who served multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan and is now a boot camp instructor in San Francisco.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Colin graduated from Pacific University in Oregon with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He was inducted into the school’s athletics hall of fame for basketball in 2011. He is also a member of his former high school's hall of fame for basketball and tennis.

When he's not reporting on sports, he's busy keeping up with his two children and enjoys taking a yoga class from his favorite yoga instructor -- his wife.
