What would you do if you lost your job and then, your home?

There are countless Bay area residents who never thought they’d be without a bed.  But this long recession has pushed thousands of households to the brink.  And women are a growing percentage of those in need.

In some counties, emergency service to families is up more than 40%, and calls for help are up tenfold over a year ago.

Yet support for homeless programs – from government, private donors and corporations – is down…and we are in crisis.

NBC Bay Area believes those of us able to help must move quickly to support local families - so we all emerge from these tough times ready to flourish.  Please use the links below to help make a difference.
